He was planning on a first gen Azera or mid-2000's Avalon. I showed him the light.

2003 LS430, 165k miles, new timing belt and a fresh service, and every single maintenance record since new.

It’s quite comfortable, but I still prefer my daily.

The Suburban isn’t that unreliable, it just has 240k miles and gets like 13mpg. He also will be traveling a lot in the next few months, so that will add up.

glad he skipped the gen 1 A zera, it’ s been giving my father in law no end of trouble. Annoying stuff too. They had to replace the ENTIRE COMPUTER because the fuel gauge stopped working. lots of ball joint and a-arm issues too.

Everyone knows an S65 AMG can easily get 50 MPG*. Your dad could have been a ** god, but instead you made him *** a mere mortal.

(* On a much smaller planet where Miles are 1/10 of what they are on earth)

It’s still a 12-13mpg difference. The Suburban is a big block.

I had an LS430, but I totaled it last fall unfortunately. Still have the S600 and LS400 though, along with an LX470 that I replaced the LS430 with.
